Fragile is the light

We all carry inside

It’s ours to show or hide

We get to choose

Courage lets it shine

I choose carefully all the time

The words I use to shape how you see mine

Integrity is found in speaking 

But only action really gives it meaning   

Language is slippery

It can conceal you

Or reveal me

It’s our energy

That’s communicating

Who we are really

Language alone

Can say it clearly

and still deceive me

I’m not relying on what I heard

I know the limitation of words

Fragile is the life

So limited by time

I want to spend mine

Living with meaning

The words we’ve all defined

Give understanding to our lives

It’s what I do makes me someone

You can believe in

Words I say

Still contributing everyday

To the way I show up in the world

The weight of me relies on the congruency

Of words and actions and my energy
