Walking In The Dark
It took all my curiosity to wonder
If at the end of this there’s something for me
As it happened there turned out to be something
I could only get to through the lightening and the thunder
I’d have given anything to go a different way, a different way
And if the gift is in the suffering it’s not really the thing you actually want to say
Don’t ever say it
I’ll keep breathing
Feels like no one can sees me
Something bleak keeps telling me to hide
I try to speak
The light feels out of reach
But I’ve set my compass
For the other side
Above all else protect your heart
Cos life is never so hard
As when you’re walking in the dark
It took a brand new philosophy to ponder
If going this way's actually better for me
As it happened there turned out to be something
I could only get through curiosity and wonder
I’d have given anything to go a different way, a different way
And if the gift is in the suffering it's not really the thing you actually want to say
Don’t ever say it
I’ll keep breathing
feels like no one can sees me
something bleak keeps telling me to hide
I try to speak
The light feels out of reach
But I’ve set my compass
For the other side
Above all else protect your heart
Cos life is never so hard
As when you’re walking in the dark
It took a revelation, opportunity occasioned by a destination that comfort seems to hide
It wasn’t till I wondered if the cloud that I was under could bring fertile rain
And help me grow inside
And I kept walking all the time
I’ll keep breathing
feels like no one can sees me
something bleak keeps telling me to hide
I try to speak
The light feels out of reach
But I’ve set my compass
For the other side
Above all else protect your heart
Cos life is never so hard
As when you’re walking in the dark
